Developmental Assets

The Search Institute is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to promote healthy children, youth, and communities.  At the heart of the work of the Search Institute is their framework of developmental assets.  Developmental assets are positive experiences and personal qualities that young people need to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible.  Many of these positive experiences may occur, and personal qualities develop within the context of a student's school experiences.
