School/Community Resources and Referrals

Chittenden County is fortunate to have a wide array of programs and resources devoted to assisting children and families and supporting schools in their educational endeavors with students with complex needs.

If you are looking for mental health related services for your students or their families, the following are excellent resources:

PTOP - PTOP is an interactive computer database of local mental health providers run by Champlain Valley Area Health Education Center (CV-AHEC).  By clicking on this link, schools may search for providers who meet specific parameters (i.e. those who accept medicaid, those willing to go to a student's home, those who run specific groups, etc.)

Vermont 2-1-1 - is an information and referral resource run by the United Way of Chittenden County.  Dial 2-1-1 on your phone to speak with an information and referral specialist who can help locate appropriate mental health supports for your students and their families.
